Tourist

A pleasant morning, blue expanse of sky donned with one or two thin, floating clouds,
the warm morning sunshine, the songs of happy birds, the embrace of cool welcoming breeze.
Feel like going on a trip, far far away.
Without proper planning, and a small luggage would be enough.
To escape the reality, to a place nobody knows me.
I would be just another foreign tourist with an slr,
who is drawn to even the slightest, tiniest details of this city.
And the mesmerizing different cultures, meeting exciting peoples,
inspiring my mind to the wonders of this earth,
enriching my taste buds by indulging all kinds of food.

Can I?

6h of March

Rumour has it that it is this Tuesday.
It is said to be announced at 8pm. Weird time.
I tried not to put my hopes high, after few lessons i had for the past sems.
I used to be very optimistic while waiting for my results, even hope for some miracles happened that i have better grades when I know I did badly in my tests.
But this time, I only hope to get what I think I deserve. I know how much effort Iv put in for the last exam, and hope the outcome would be satisfactory.
And yesterday, at 8 sharp, the results were released! And I was quite disappointed.
My results were all lower than expectation, It's worser than I thought it would be.

I know I shouldnt complain here, instead, I should learn my lesson and improve.
But let me rant for a post then I'll be just fine to move on.
You see, there are many kinds of people out there:
One, really hardworking, thirst for knowledge, and smart. Strong self discipline, frequently ask lecturer for any doubts. They of coarse, will get really good results.
Second, those who're not really nerds, they're able to put 100% into whatever they're doing. They love outings, they play, but when it comes to exam, they will only study few days before, super concentrate and get the most out of their time spent. They're able to get good results, altho not as good as the first category, but surprisingly enough, seeing their amount of time spent outside of their house.
Third, those who seem hardworking, constantly studying, spent most of their time studying few weeks ago before exams. By exam time, they finished their tutorials neatly, but still frantically flipping through notes and tutorials cause they have no confidence. You'll expect good results from them. But they're just average. Even astonishingly worser than second category. Why? Because they couldn't concentrate, have difficulties in utilizing their time. They are easily distracted, not giving their 100% into what they're studying. They panicked easily, they keep away from all possible distractions like radios, computers. They need to spend double the time studying just to get the same amount of intake as second category.
Well, sadly, I belong to the third category.

I shouldn't take the time spent as my input effort cause its not equal to the amount of knowledge I absorbed. I should change my way of studying so that it suits me, and not to compare with anyone else. It's very unfair when you compare the third category with the second category people. Second category, they spent much lesser time studying and yet they're able to get good results as compared to third category. So don't compare!  Don't care how people look at you, doubting you. They have better brains, their method of study suits them really well, they know what they want, what they capable of. Study is not for a feedback, award or any applause, it is a cause, for your own fulfillment, it is a responsibility, you live on this earth, you'll never stop studying. And when you refuse to study, this means you're decided to be ignorant, decided to reject any knowledge of this earth.

Remember, grades is important, but its not everything. Try your best to achieve good grades, and if you don't, accept the lesson, not ranting about it, not comparing with other people and feeling despair. Try your very best, and you'll have no regrets. Grades are important when you first graduated, and when you're out there working, people will forget about your grades, they only see how you perform. And if you feel grades are important, take it as a lesson. Grades showed how well you transform your effort into performance in exams, it doesn't really have to be proportional. You'll get nothing by comparing. Study well, study smart, be brave to face failure, be braver to stand up and move on to be better. Failure makes you a better person. I can do it :)

a 22 years old's dilemma

I should be proud to be a female.
Female doesn't always have to be the fussy and weaker one.
Act like a lady, but think like a man.
Carry a kind heart, but make firm decisions.
Think before I act, and be responsible for the consequences.
Good luck Kristy Chong!
You can do it! :)

Abandoned

I can still recall the scene vividly in my mind.
All these years of effort.. Yes, they do make difference, but in an insignificant amount.
I keep trying to persuade myself, like I did that day, but I couldn't stop my tears from pouring down, just like that faithful day too.
I tried to comfort myself, that this couldn't be happening, that I made these all up.
Now, I can say that I have made every effort, to change the cruel reality, but today, it seems like all the effort vanished like bubble. Nothing.
They will never ever understand my feelings.
Nobody could. Well, I guess the truth is nobody cared.
I kept saying to myself, think positively, be optimistic. Maybe I think too much?
But do you really think that the responsibility lies solely on me?
Do you think that if they don't behave in such a way, I will feel offended?
I was a kid then, for goodness' sake. Words can't describe how huge the impact is.
Everyday, I am trying to outlive myself, get out from the shadow. But the effort is in vain.
I remain insignificant, small, abandoned in their eyes.

My heart will recover. But it will bear the scars forever.
I will continue to be positive, be strong and be happy. Regardless of anything.
I'm hurt inside, but nobody knows.
I'm not saying this like other emo kids.
I really mean it, and trust me, what im saying is the truth.

Sigh.

Blabs

Ah, its holidays again. We have 3 weeks of holidays before its the final sem of Delta. Old huh?
A blink of an eye, its 2012 already. And March is coming too soon I could hardly believe it.
All those rumours saying world is going to an end, we will be able to witness whether the rumours are true!
I seriously do not hope they are true (who would?). I still have a lot of things pending to be accomplished.

Saw quite a number of my friends went for Korean Winter Exchange Program, which was held by my school MMU few weeks ago.
Was quite envious of them: if only I can afford. Such programs would be so fun and beneficial for us..
Speaking of which, Boyfie told me about a plan the other day. He wanted to go overseas, be a backpacker and work there for a year right after graduation. To gain valuable experience and also pocket money in foreign country. I admire his courage! This is a thing that I always dream of but will never dare to do..
My nature is afraid of uncertainties, anxious and low self-esteem. I often doubt my ability and survival skills.
But came to think of it, this experience is once in a lifetime and after you worked, you'll be bound in Malaysia from that onwards!
Even if you have the chance to go overseas, you would be going there for business and work purpose.
I sincerely hope we would one day materialize this little mission! And I am able to discover the other side of me, confident, unafraid of fall and courage in different culture!
Quit living under people's shadows! You deserve to live your own life! :)

The recent me! Frizzy hair huh.

I will be better. :)

P/s: Hope I wouldn't be mad at that parasite. I don't lose anything rite? Just transform the negative thinking into positive strength. I can do it. :)
P/p/s: You're not living in fairy tales, don't expect to find a prince charming comes galloping in a white horse, and seems to know what every girls wanted, how to treat girls and is perfect in everything.

2012 - A spiritual beginning

Today's Chor 7, the seventh day of cny. And it's the last day of cny for me.
I'll be going back melaka tomorrow to lock myself up for study, couldn't study at sban.
There're just too many things here to distract me. Hope melaka's not too boring and a conducive place for study!

My cny was..quite pleasant. Been out of my comfort zone and came back.
Well, my confidence and self-esteem was undeniably challenged, but at least it's over and passed.
I'm all happy and whole again. Been a struggle for me, i don't know if its a bad thing, but one thing's for sure: I'll be dreading the next cny.
It's time for me to grow up, get to know myself and be mature. Therefore I wont so easily lost myself.
I often compare with others, take others as sort of a standard and question myself why we couldn't achieve..
And until now, I no longer know what's right and what's wrong, and my temper is extreme. I often enlarge small things, make them look significant and make a temper on them.
I'v been standing too long in the shadows, or camouflage myself. Its time to stand out and speak out.
Now that I know I shouldn't make a fuss on insignificant stuffs..I will start my day afresh. :)

My heart is freed after my church. I'm glad to be present in the expanse of the greatness of God. Free your heart from hatred and anger. Life is just too short to have to deal with them. Live happily, achieve something, enjoy every little things in life. Things that appear to be so important and big at this moment, may appear to be small and insignificant in the future. So don't waste your time feeling bad or sad over anything. Don't lose yourself, and have a faith. As pastor preached today, live a life of purpose. If you do not have a purpose in life, it's easy to stray off the course and lost your identity. You'll no longer know what you want to achieve, and will do anything to fulfill your empty hearts. That is why some people resorted into drugs and endless entertainments. Restrict yourself, set a clear goal and go after it. Enlarge your vision, do not let your sight earth-bound and shallow. See far and you'll find that there are boundless opportunities ahead unfold before you. "God isn't letting you fall, just teaching you how to fly. So spread those wings!"

Laugh more, hate less.
Release yourself, enjoy this life. It's all you have.
"Be yourself, cause everyone else is taken." ;)
Trust in Lord.
